Introduction to blogging

Introduction: "Blogging" is the latest trend these days. Its spreading like fire. Bollywood Stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Sharukh Khan have also started their own blogs to spread their voice over the internet. So why should you be left out ?? You can create your own blog and let your thoughts spread over the internet. Now, friends and family members often ask me what's a blog, how to start a blog, and I always enjoy explaining it, but it is a lot information , so I thought I would document the process to make it easier to understand for everyone who wants to start his/her own blog.

Definition: A "blog", abbreviated word for weblog, is a web-based journal in which people can publish their thoughts, opinions, regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video on the Internet. Anyone can start a blog. It's straight-forward and, in a lot of cases, free !!!!

Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.

So I think by now, you might have got some idea about what's blogging. Now, once you have understood what's a blog and what's blogging, you might also like to have a blog of your own!!! Isn't it? Before you create your own blog, I will like to tell you about two main types of blogs.

• Personal Blog (The personal blog, an on-going diary or commentary by an individual, is the traditional, most common blog)
• Blogs by genre (Blogs focusing on a particular subject, such as political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, project blogs, education blogs, niche blogs, classical music blogs, quizzing blogs )
